  • Overview

    The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Strategist is responsible for the content used on approximately 150+ BHA websites showcasing various aspects of BHA automotive dealerships. Additionally, this will include blog, newsletter, email, and video content. This person will strategize, schedule, plan, research, write, edit, and approve content. This person will guide, oversee and manage outside content and search engine optimization (SEO) providers to help ensure successful user experiences, conversions and search engine indexing.


    • Managing contracted content and SEO provider/vendor
    • Producing new and original content, to include writing and editing, as needed
    • Sourcing content, images and artwork as needed
    • Conferring with and advising BHA dealers, management and/or internal departments about website content
    • Maintaining and ensuring that website information is accurate
    • Producing and following an annual editorial calendar to include website native, blog, newsletter, email, and video content
    • Becoming familiar with using the DDC and CDK content management systems while dealing with issues directly related to website content and performance
    • Tracking and reporting on website performance and SEO using a variety of tools including Google Analytics, Google Trends, Google Search Console, Moz, and SEM Rush
    • Have a working familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook, Yelp, and local search platforms such a Google My Business
    • Familiar with the latest SEO trends



    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor Degree in job-related discipline is required
    • Minimum 3 years previous employment or extensive experience with IT consultancies, media organizations, advertising agencies or a multi-store marketing/corporate communication department is desired.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

    • Have evidence of excellent communication skills, both written and oral
    • Be able to undertake research using a variety of digital tools and resources
    • Be creative, able to alter their style of writing to reflect audience, brand, product or service and to enhance SEO and website user experience
    • Be able to multitask and prioritize work schedules
    • Be computer literate with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Be interested in current and emerging methods of digital communication
