  • Overview

    Miles Chevrolet is looking to for a professional and experienced Automotive Comptroller to fill an immediate opening and join them in supporting their dealership staff and customers while assisting them in building and representing their brand.


    Candidates must have previous automotive business office experience, and a minimum of 3 years accounting. Advanced degree and a CPA is preferred, but not required.




    This position is responsible for coordinating financial operations with our corporate office. In addition, they oversee accounting, asset management and ensuring tax compliance, as well as financial/accounting decisions of the dealership.

    • Oversight of the accounting office personnel along with all aspects of the general ledger and financial statements
    • Partner with the General Manager to manage the financial results of the dealership
    • Responsible for adherence to dealership policies and internal control structure
    • Proactively manage and safeguard company assets 
    • Actively manage expense structure and vendors 
    • Prepare the daily, weekly, and monthly reports required by the management team
    • Work with the management staff of the dealership to review the data and prepare reports/analysis as necessary


    The comptroller candidate must have previous automotive business office experience and a minimum of 3 years accounting. Advances degree and a CPA is preferred, but not required. 


    Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications, Licenses):

    • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
    • Advanced Degree and a CPA is preferred
    • Minimum of 3-years Dealership Controller experience
    • Excellent communication and organization skills
    • Must have strong ADP DMS experience
    • Self-motivated, goal-oriented and enthusiastic presence in a team environment with the ability to lead and influence others
    • Ability to be analytical, problem solve, and multi-task
    • Experience building strong teams 
    • Consistent and stable work history
    • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
    • Professional appearance and work ethic
